Butterfly wings

A glorious butterfly I snapped the other day feeding on our hebe flowers.
Opened, it was dusty blue shading to white, but the underneath was spectacular.

Googling it, I discovered it was an 'Imperial Jezebel'. What a wonderful name!

A butterfly is a wonderful thing.
They do love buddleas and GRASSES strangely enough.
I had to mow a paddock of long dry grass this week and hundreds of small mauve butterflies were in it (none were harmed by the ride-on though)
