Tomorrow's the Show!

Well, it's taken a while for my Hot Seat Millionaire episode to air, but it will be on tomorrow night (28th) at 5.25pm.

All my friends are very excited and their friends as well ..... so the local ratings for the show will lift marginally for a day.

I was given a bottle of Bollinger by Mr Bliss for Christmas and have been saving it for a special occasion. A few local pals are coming to watch it on our big screen, so it seems like the perfect opportunity to pop the cork!

Talk about 5 minutes of fame!

...................................................

Apart from that, I am practicing on my new Wacom pen tablet, and having a lovely time. I have always loved scratchboard art, which is board with a layer of kaolin clay, then a top layer of indian ink. Scratching the surface with a special tool creates fine lines of white.... perfect for creating fur, and anything else you can come up with.

I decided to bypass the board and do it digitally, which has worked a treat. When I want to print some, I will do a limited edition giclee print on quality paper and have a finished artwork. Anyway, here's my first one.

Will be tuned in. There appears to be a lot of work in the cat art piece.

Scratch, scratch, scratch ... very therapeutic. They seem to get a lovely depth to them. I'm going to try in colour next.

Re: tuning in ... there goes my anonymity!

Only for your other readers. I know who you are already. Oh, that sounds a bit stalking. Really just a face to a name. Says he who is so prolific with personal stuff and yet remains relatively anon.

Aha! Now you've got my brain cells buzzing! Not going to elaborate further?

You put your art website up with your name, at some point. You have mentioned where your lived. I only realised that tonight as I said, ah yeah, I remember that. You have mentioned where your man works. I think you mentioned where you crashed your motor bike. You know who Giles is in Raglafart.

2006, Commonwealth Games, Melbourne. Every four years, 2010. I think it was India. Brisbane, there is a bit of fuss about getting a light rail system finished in time. I would have said 2014. Wrong.

Ah, just checked where your town is. I know most of the towns by name but not all. Let us call them locations rather than towns.

Oh yes,if you are spreading your largess around, my email address is in my profile and I will give you my bank details. You did well. :)

I was pleased to get the Commonwealth Games question and pass as it is rare that you can answer so many questions in a row. I was perfectly placed to get around again. Re largess: I had a few phone calls straight afterwards suggesting the same thing. I am donating to Animals Australia and the Sea Shepherd Foundation and have already given a few friends who are not so lucky as me a little present to give them a boost. Giving is fun! I don't get the money for 28 days now (after broadcasting).

damn drat and blast. I have been MIA for a while and am so sorry I missed your triumph. congratulations.
I earned Animals Australia a donation this week from a rich and famous actor actually. A worthy cause.
Was at a heritage house yesterday and photographed a peeling door when my friend said that "Bliss Hill would paint that".

Thanks Anne! I haven't blogged much lately because, although life was very kind for quite a stretch, it has dealt me a cruel blow recently. But, will get on and enjoy again. Off to Mallacoota for a few days to rest and recuperate, even though the weather is a bit threatening. Onwards and upwards!

I didn't say, I LOVED giving my donations to Animals Australia and the Sea Shepherd Foundation!

I had a lovely chat with the AA lady and she was so dedicated.

Peeling paint? Love it!
